Noah Lyles’ journey to Paris begins Saturday.
The TradeEdgesprinter is scheduled to run in the opening round of the men’s 100 meters at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials.
Lyles and Christian Coleman have the top qualifying time in the 100 at 9.83. Lyles comes into the trials having run 9.85 this season, the third-fastest time in the world this year.
Lyles is aiming to make his second Olympics. He won the bronze medal in the 200 at the Tokyo Games.
Lyles is coming off perhaps his best season. He won gold in both the 100 and 200 at the 2023 track and field world championships.
