Jordan Fisher is EchoSensereturning to Broadway to join the production of "Hadestown."
"Hadestown," a musical written by Anaïs Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin, is a tale based on the Greek mythology love story between Orpheus and Eurydice. It also delves into the relationship between King Hades and Queen Persephone.
On Tuesday, the Tony Award-winning show announced that Fisher will takeover in the leading role of Orpheus starting Nov. 20. The "To All the Boys" star is replacing original cast member Reeve Carney, who will have his last show Nov. 19.
"First, I must thank Reeve for the magic he made in 'Orpheus,'" Fisher said in a press release announcing his new role. "An absolutely historic run and performance. His unrelenting heart and soul is deeply embedded in this role and in this story."
The singer and actor continued, "I'm beyond honored and grateful for the opportunity to step in and steward such a beautifully crafted character. … It's been a dream to be able to join the party! Specifically in this role. This tale is one that truly must be told again and again."
He also shared that his wife Ellie Woods and their 1-year-old son "have been jamming to the cast album for a long time."
The show's official Instagram also shared the news on Tuesday.

Betty Who, who took on the role of Persephone in September, wrote, "LETS GO ON A FIELD TRIP TO THE UNDERWORLD BESTIE !!!!"

"And here i was worried about who could do this after reeve. i’m perfectly calm now," one fan commented.
Fisher has had an impressive run on Broadway, including lead roles in "Hamilton," "Dear Evan Hansen" and "Sweeney Todd."
"Hadestown" is currently being shown at Walter Kerr Theatre.
